In residential and commercial areas, frequency inverters have been required since the 01.01.1998 EMV filter with minimum filter class B. In pure industrial areas, filter class A is sufficient according to the legislation. The additional EMV filter (electromagnetic compatibility) is installed in the mains supply line to achieve filter class B. It is necessary for the CE-compliant design of your drive system in order not to exceed certain limits with respect to the emission of electromagnetic disturbances and electromagnetic interactions and the interference sensitivity/strength to electromagnetic irradiation.
