  • Calculation of the effective gearbox output torque [Nm] based on the motor and gearbox data

    Motor power [kW] multiplied by 9550 and divided by the motor speed [min-1]
    multiplied by the gearbox reduction ratio, taking the gearbox efficiency into account.

    Example:
    Motor 0.12 kW × 9550 / motor speed 3000 min-1 = 0.382 Nm motor torque

    Motor torque × gearbox reduction ratio i=60 = 22.92 Nm

    22.92 Nm × gearbox efficiency 0.6 = 13.75 Nm gearbox output torque
