A three-phase asynchronous machine is operated with three-phase alternating current or "three-phase" (3AC). At low speeds, care must be taken that the self-cooling of the motor is no longer guaranteed from a certain range. In such a case, the use of an external fan is necessary. An exception is for the engines that are cooled via the end application. Up to a frequency of 30Hz, the motors are self-cooled. The minimum frequency is 5 Hz.
