The PDP002Z is a PROFIBUS-DP option card for communication between compatible Toshiba TOSVERT frequency inverters and a higher-level controller, for example a SPS. The frequency inverter can be integrated into an automation network as a PROFIBUS-DP slave via the module.
The module is particularly suitable for industrial applications in which drive data, control words, setpoint values, status words and actual values are to be transmitted via PROFIBUS. The PDP002Z supports PROFIBUS DP-V0 and the PROFIdrive profile for variable-speed drives.

Compatibility
The PDP002Z is provided as a PROFIBUS-DP option for Toshiba TOSVERT VF-AS1 / VF-PS1 frequency inverters. Before ordering or installing, we recommend checking compatibility with the existing frequency inverter against the full type designation and the existing series of devices.
Installation instructions
- The installation and parameterisation shall be carried out only by qualified professionals.
- Before assembly or wiring, the frequency inverter must be switched voltage-free.
- After the switch-off, the discharge time of the frequency inverter must be observed.
- The PDP002Z does not have an integrated terminating resistor. When used at the bus end, a PROFIBUS connector with an activated termination resistor or a corresponding termination is required.
- After changing relevant communication parameters, a restart of the frequency inverter may be necessary.
