Oil can be introduced via the filler screw.

If synthetic oil is preferred, the installed pressure relief valve shall be replaced by a closed screw.
Note the amount of lubrication and the recommended lubricant.

Check whether the maximum torque with the motor is not exceeded at full load:
Formula: Torque (Nm) = (power (kW) x eta (%) x 9550) / output speed (min)^-1)
eta (%) = efficiency of the transmission

The efficiency is crucial for the design of an application and is influenced by the gearing data. In the overview of the gearing data you will find values of the dynamic (n)₁=1400) and the static efficiency. It is noted that these table values are valid only after the entry time. In the case of a transmission with dynamic self-locking, the output shaft comes to a standstill immediately when the worm shaft is no longer driven. The theoretical prerequisite for dynamic self-locking is a dynamic efficiency ETA_{dd dd}<0,5. Bei statischer Selbsthemmung ist ein Anlauf aus dem Stillstand bei treibender Abtriebswelle nicht möglich. Statische Selbsthemmung liegt bei einem statischen Wirkungsgrad ETA_s<0,5 vor. In der Übersicht sind die Angaben zur Selbsthemmung nur als Richtwerte wiedergegeben. Die Bedingungen können durch Vibrationen oder Stöße beeinträchtigt werden. Bei der Prüfung der Selbsthemmung von Doppelschneckengetriebe ist zu beachten, dass sich der Gesamtwirkungsgrad aus dem Produkt der beiden einz elnen Wirkungsgrade ergibt, d.h. ETA_g = ETA₁ x ETA₂.
