The DER2/A is a voltage regulator for synchronous generators, designed for stand-alone operation and calibration. To use its maximum power, the controller should be considered as part of at least a two-part system:
the DER2/A (control unit) and monitoring unit.
The monitoring unit may consist of a PC, another "synoptic" device or both. Control is not done in real time, but allows programming and visualization of all functional parameters of the DER2/A.
The controller has a USB interface on the board.
The DSR is a fully digitally controlled voltage regulator based on DSP (Digital Signal Processor), which combines functions such as voltage regulation, generator protection and diagnostics in a single board. An optional digital communication interface DI1 enables the connection of the DSR controller to a higher-ordered PC or SPS. A IF321 optional interface allows a measurement of three phases of the generator. The free "DSR Terminal" software is user-friendly designed as a window-based graphical user interface.
