The retrofitted actuator is: No emergency stop or stopping device as defined in: DIN EN ISO 13850 and DIN EN 60204-1.
Its actuation exclusively causes a non-safety-directed stop command to the frequency inverter with a parameterized brake ramp.
There is neither a safe torque switch-off (STO) nor a safe or mains-side switch-off of the frequency inverter. Safe-Stop-1-Funktion SS1
The actuator is not used to perform a safety-related stop function and replaces neither an emergency command function in accordance with the standard nor other necessary protective measures.
The necessary safety functions shall be defined in the context of the risk assessment of the complete machinery or plant and implemented by appropriate safety-related measures.
