Description
The CS-series fan blade is a yellow, mechanically robust polypropylene injection-moulded part available in various sizes with a fixed internal diameter.
Bushings with different bores for different shaft diameters can be press-fitted into it.
Features
- Universal adaptation of a small number of fan-blade sizes to numerous motor frame sizes and shaft diameters
- Flat design for use with short shaft ends
- Soft material allows individual blades to be trimmed and the height to be reduced by approx. 10 %
- 3-jaw chuck mount for secure, concentric seating of the bushings and smooth operation
- 12 large-area blades provide high airflow
Application
- Widely and successfully used in motor construction for over 30 years
- Bushings can be fitted from either side, allowing flexible adjustment of the distance between motor housing and fan
- Warm the fan blade before assembly
- Various standard bushings are available; if the standard bore is unsuitable, a solid bushing can be bored to the required size (any existing keyway must be bored out)
- Finished-bore bushings have two opposite keyways
- Repair versions intentionally differ from DIN 6885-1 to accommodate different shaft designs and key sizes; the grooves have different widths
Important note
For new applications with defined fits, only hubs/bushings manufactured to the relevant standard may be used.
This version is intended primarily for replacement and repair purposes.
