The sine filter is a low-pass filter of inductance and capacitance and thus has a very low resonance frequency. As a result, it is able to generate a largely sinusoidal current. This reduces the losses of the asynchronous motor. The engine behaves as in normal mains operation. The typical motor noises do not occur during the converter operation and, depending on the installation and the supply line length, a shielded line to the motor can be dispensed with. Eddy current losses are greatly minimized. This will not heat the motor stator as much and reduce typical noises in the motor lamination. In addition, the motor insulation is protected and thus the service life is increased.
