Immersion pumps
Immersion pumps (standard coolant pump) are self-venting and usually have an exposed shaft. This eliminates the need for a bearing in the pump section. The pumps are safe to run dry, wear-resistant and operate with large clearances, making them insensitive to swarf.

The pump is a low-pressure pump, not suitable for CNC machines.

The housing is made of extruded aluminium or non-combustible, acid-resistant plastic according to the following standards: VDE 0730 and UL 94. The pump shaft is made of V-2A-stainless steel, the bearings are made of NSK, extremely durable and vibration-damped mounted in semi-rigid shells, which leads to an virtually vibration-free operation.
They are used for conveying cooling water, cooling emulsions, and low-viscosity drilling and cutting oils in all machining machine tools. They are known in industry as reliable pumps and have been used for years with good success. Coolant submersible pumps operate as centrifugal pumps, the stuffing boxes and the suction line being omitted by the pump part projecting into the liquid. They are largely insensitive to contaminated coolants.
When starting up, the direction of rotation must be observed (see arrow on the housing) The liquid level should remain a maximum of a few cm below the flange and minimally cover the pump. The pressure line to the workpiece should be 3/4 inches as far as possible, so that the values given in the table are achieved. Any smaller quantity can be set by means of a shut-off valve. Pressure relief valves are not required. The coolant submersible pumps are not intended for dry running.
