The following specialist knowledge in particular is required for installation:
- the applicable ‘5 safety rules’: Disconnect; secure against reconnection; ensure no voltage is present; earth and short-circuit; cover or isolate neighbouring live parts
- Selection of suitable tools, measuring devices and, if necessary, personal protective equipment
- Analysing the measurement results
- Selection of the electrical installation material to ensure the switch-off conditions
- IP protection types
- Installation of the electrical installation material
- Type of supply network (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the resulting connection conditions (classic earthing, protective earthing, additional measures required, etc.)
Repair work on explosion-protected (‘EX....’/‘ATEX’/‘HazLoc’) drives and equipment
may only be carried out by authorised specialists.
